Process

In 2021, I explored Wim Hof's ice bath therapy and adopted Jocko Willink's 4:30 AM wake-up routine. My days started with boxing and an energizing ice bath. Serendipitously, in July 2022, Rachael Heaton introduced me to ODIN Ice Baths! This opportunity allowed me to apply my skills to something I truly loved and make a meaningful contribution.

INITIAL ASSESSMENT

Upon examining ODIN's paid advertising account, I observed it was disorganized and lacked a clear strategy. The setup was incorrect, and there was substantial room for improvement.

STRATEGY EVALUATION

After conducting preliminary tests, we proposed a fresh strategy centered around the inspiring story of Jono James, the serial entrepreneur behind ODIN Ice Baths. Our goal was to introduce millions of people to his journey and the big "why" behind ODIN's creation.

We migrated all ads from personal accounts to a business account, established clear naming conventions, and transitioned from Squarespace to Shopify. Shout out to Rahil, for getting it done.

CAMPAIGN OPTIMIZATION

With top-of-funnel (TOF) campaigns set up, we achieved a low cost per click (CPC) of $0.20 and a high click-through rate (CTR) of 5% (optimized for purchases).


Our cold traffic campaign was on track, so we shifted our focus to the middle-of-funnel (MOF) and bottom-of-funnel (BOF) segments.

  • MOF: We created six social proof ads to further engage the audience.
  • BOF: We implemented Messenger campaigns with a cost per message (CPMSG) of $1.36 and lead forms with a cost per lead (CPL) of $0.98.

SCALING

These strategic adjustments not only doubled our return on ad spend (ROAS) but also enabled us to reinvest in our top of funnel (TOF) efforts and fuel expansion.


As a result, we tripled our advertising budget, ventured into TikTok advertising, and successfully expanded into the US market.

Our comprehensive approach and strategic optimizations significantly improved ODIN's paid advertising, resulting in higher revenue and greater returns on investment.
